This is the face of the mystery suspect in the Madeleine McCann case.

UK tabloid News of the World says the sketch is a composite of three sightings made around the time the four-year-old girl disappeared from her family's room in a villa on Praia da Luz beach in Portugal.

Gail Cooper was staying nearby with her husband when she first noticed the scruffy middle-aged man walking alone on the beach in the pouring rain.

And the 50-year-old grandmother from the English Midlands was shocked to find the same man knocking at her door a few hours later.
