Health

Well I am coming back on the net on and off, but still not into the full swing of it

Once I know what the outcome will be for my grandson things will be different

I am glad he is only seven as he doesn’t fully understand all of what’s going on with his little body.

I believe in a case of a little one like this situation ignorance can be a blessing for the child!

Thanks for all the kind words and thought's from you :-)

Adelaide breaks another heat record
Friday Mar 14 16:04 AEDT

Adelaide has set another heatwave record as firefighters remain fearful a bushfire south of the city could break containment lines.
More than 200 firefighters contained a blaze near Willunga which started on Thursday afternoon, but authorities are concerned a potential wind change later could spread the fire.

Their fears came as a grass fire was reported at Balhannah in the Adelaide Hills about 2.15pm CDT. There were no immediate reports of injuries or loss of property.

The blazes came after Adelaide recorded its hottest March night in history, with an overnight minimum temperature of 30.2 degrees.

The city's forecast maximum of 40 degrees is the 12th consecutive day of temperatures above 35 degrees - the longest heatwave ever in any Australian capital city.

Introduction

More than 317,000 people from 41 countries took part in the world’s largest ever survey on sexual attitudes and behaviour. The research confirmed that Greece is officially the sexiest country with the Greeks having sex 138 times a year - well above the global average of 103. Croatia (134) and Serbia and Montenegro (128) come a close second and third.

Almost half of all adults surveyed said they were happy with their sex lives although men are the least satisfied with how often they have sex. The survey also revealed the global average age for first time sex is 17.3 and the trend is for people to lose their virginity earlier, with 16 to 20 year olds becoming sexually active by 16.3 years.

Most people believe sex education should start at 11.7 years. Virtually all those surveyed believe children of 16 and under should receive sex education and more than a third believe governments should invest in sex education in schools. Almost half of all adults globally admit to having had unprotected sex without knowing their partner’s sexual history, despite more than one in 10 admitting to having had a sexually transmitted infection (STI).

How the research was conducted

Based on the number of respondents from 41 countries, the 2005 Durex Global Sex Survey is the largest sexual health research project of its kind in the world. Now in its ninth year, the survey has quadrupled in size since its launch and covers 41 countries - newcomers this year included Indonesia and Chile. This is the fourth year that this survey has been carried out via the durex.com website and responses have been analysed by sex and age to give an in-depth and truly global picture of sexual attitudes and behaviour.

How to Green Your Sex Life :-)

What’s the Big Deal?

Whether you’re single and playing the field, settled down with that special someone, or someplace in between, most of us consider good, satisfying, sexy sex an important part of this complete breakfast. It might not be the first thing we think of while working towards a sustainable and graceful life on this fragile planet, but there’s a lot we can do to make our sex lives greener. In the process of greening the ecological footprint of our love making, we might also open up some new doors to deeper pleasure, satisfaction, and romantic connection.

When Im 64

When I'm Sixty-four

When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a Valentine, birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If I'd been out 'till quarter to three, would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty-four?

Hmm---mmm---mmm. You'll be older, too.
Aaah, and if you say the word, I could stay with you.

I could be handy, mending a fuse, when your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside, Sunday mornings, go for a ride.
Doing the garden, digging the weeds, who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty-four?

Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wight if it's not to dear.
We shall scrimp and save. Ah, grandchildren on your knee, Vera, Chuck, and Dave.

Send me a postcard, drop me a line stating point of view.
Indicate precisely what you mean to say, yours sincerely wasting away.
Give me your answer, fill in a form, mine forever more.
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty-four?

Nursery Ryme

Two little dickey birds
Sitting on a wall,
One called Peter,
One called Paul.

Fly away Peter.

Fly away Paul.

Come back Peter.

Come back Paul.

Nursery Ryme

Cushy cow, bonny, let down thy milk,
And I will give thee a gown of silk;
A gown of silk and a silver tee,
If thou wilt let down thy milk to me.

Funny But True

This is very interesting and not the ending I had expected!!!!

A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our
small

Texas town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting
newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. The stranger was
quickly accepted and was around from then on.

As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young
mind, he had a special niche. My parents were complementary instructors:
Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey. But the
stranger...he was our storyteller. He would k eep us spellboun d for hours
on end with adventures, mysteries and comedies.

If I wanted to know anything about politics , history or science, he
always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even
seemed able to predict the future! He took my family to the first major
league ball

game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped
talking, but Dad didn't seem to mind.

Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing
each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the
kitchen

for peace and quiet. (I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger
to
leave.)

Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger
never felt obligated to honor them. Profan! ity, for example, was not
allowed in our home... Not from us, our fr iends or any v isitors. Our
longtime visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned
my ears and made my dad squir m and my mother blush. My Dad didn't permit
the liberal use of alcohol. But the stranger encouraged us to try it on
a regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes
distinguished.
He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex. His comments were
sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing.

I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced
strongly by the stranger. Time after time, he opposed the values of my
parents, yet he was seldom rebuked... And NEVER asked to leave.

More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our
family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he
was at first. Still, if you could walk into my parents' den today , you
; would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to
listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictur es.

His name?.... . . . . . . We just call him 'TV.'

(Note: This should be required reading for every household in America!)

He has a wife now....We call her 'Computer.'

A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen, shaking frantically with what looked like a wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood by the back door, breaking his arm in two places.

Until that moment, he had been happily listening to his Walkman.

Poll

In statistics love around the world

Everyone has their own theory on which country is the best to find love, who the sexiest people are and who are more susceptible to falling into bed. However, to avoid using crude national stereotypes, we have decided to use science to decide once and for all.

And what could be more scientific than culling random statistics from various dubious global surveys and reports? Here's exactly what to expect around the world...

Greece

According to a 2005 global survey conducted by condom brand Durex, Greece is the sexiest nation on earth. Respondents averaged out at 138 bouts of passion every year, which is well above the global average of 103. Croatia came in second with 134 and the Japanese may as well take vows of chastity.

Portugal

Portuguese men are the least shallow people on earth, according to a 2006 poll by Harlequin Enterprises. Nearly half said that intelligence is the major turn-on for them, so women should prepare to engage in stimulating debate rather than heave up the cleavage. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Australian men came rock bottom on this one. Better still with the Portuguese, you can tee them up online before you go — 50 percent said Internet dating was a good way of meeting someone.

Germany

Don't expect to spring too many surprises in Germany — they start them early over there. According to the 2005 Durex survey, the average German starts sex education at the tender age of 11.3. Which means that by the age the Vietnamese start (16) the Germans are probably fully aware of even the trickiest Kama Sutra positions. In a huge shock result, the Germans are the ones most obsessed with a partner having a sense of humour; 70 percent of German women said it was the key factor in initial attraction (Harlequin Enterprises, 2006). The Maldives
It's one of the most romantic locations on earth, but the chances of it lasting with a local aren't good. The Maldives has the world's highest divorce rate, and by a long stretch. There are an incredible 10.97 new divorcees per 1000 inhabitants every year, according to the United Nations. Libya is the best place to head for something permanent — the corresponding figure there is 0.24.

Iceland

Before disappearing off for a night of sordid lust in Iceland, make sure you do an ID check. According to the 2005 Durex survey, the average Icelander loses their virginity at the age of 15.6. It's a much safer bet in India, with cherries popping at the age of 19.8. Italy
The idea of the romantic Casanova stops the minute you're taken back to his place, and have to deal with his mum. Italy has an astonishingly high rate of children staying in the parental home until they get married — over 23 percent of 30 to 34-year-olds are still there (IRP/ CRN, 1998).

Turkey

If you prefer your lover to be thoroughly road-tested, head to Turkey. According to the 2005 Durex survey, Turkey is the most promiscuous nation on earth, with the average Turk having had 14.5 sexual partners. However, Australia does manage to put in a sterling effort here, finishing second with 13.3. And to think Australians have a reputation for being easy...

Venezuela

For sheer, outright gorgeous women, drooling males should head to Venezuela. The country boasts five winners of Miss World — more than any other nation on earth. Norway
If there's one place to make sure you bring a big box of condoms to, it's Norway; 53 percent of the population claims to be unsatisfied with the amount of sex they're getting (Durex, 2005). And then it's probably best to get checked out afterwards. Norway has the dubious honour of being the place where most people have unprotected sex — 73 percent according to the same poll. Greece is second with 70 percent. Unsurprisingly, Norwegians also top the Sexually Transmitted Infection league table — 21 percent admit to having had one. And, to round off what is emerging to be a pretty seedy reputation, Norway wins at one-night stands too — 70 percent of the survey respondents have had one.

Poland

Meanwhile, the Poles are either very safety-conscious or lying through their teeth. Only four percent admitted to having caught an STI. Quite how such conscientious use of condoms tallies with the country's strong Catholicism isn't clear. Pacific Islands
Shallow types looking for partners with a svelte build should avoid the South Pacific — eight of the 10 fattest countries on earth can be found there. Nauru comes top of the portly potential pick-up list, with 95 percent of the population overweight according to the World Health Organisation. Next are the Federated States of Micronesia, then the Cook Islands, Tonga, Niue, Samoa and Palau.

China

China is the place to go if you want to look good. Only 22 percent of people there are contented with their sex life (Durex, 2005), which means a bit of talent could go a long, long way. A tougher task awaits in Belgium, where people are broadly happy with what they're getting (57 percent). However, it is the place to go if you're after a lengthy session — 15 percent of tried tantric sex, a figure way ahead of anywhere else. Curiously, the Chinese are also by far the most likely to have joined the Mile High Club — nine percent claim to have done the dirty on a plane.

Aussie air travelers vote babies out

Crying babies and their parents should be separated from other passengers on overseas flights, according to voters in a new survey. An overwhelming 81 percent of the nearly 2500 Australian travellers surveyed believe there should be a separate area for parents with babies or toddlers on overseas flights. Three per cent voted that babies did not belong on planes at all, while the remaining 16 per cent said everyone deserved to be treated equally. But while the totaltravel.com survey indicated the low tolerance of air travellers to distracting noise, the company's global marketing manager Paul Fisher said a separate room was unlikely to become reality. "Unless parents campaign for their own separate area, I think everyone will be sharing cabin space for some time to come", he said. He suggested that parents contact their chosen airline prior to departure to determine what onboard entertainment was available for their children. Airlines usually have a range of games and activities to keep young travellers amused and occupied for lengthy periods of time. Parents can also bring their child's favourite soft toys, games or food, he said.

Another bit of news!

Woman chained up and beat husband

A Chinese woman has been arrested in Taiwan for allegedly beating her estranged local-born husband with wooden sticks and chaining him up in her home for more than a month, police here said Thursday.

The victim, identified only by his surname Hsu, suffered multiple wounds and bruises all over his body and had lost 20 kilogrammes (44 pounds) due to lack of food, said police in the southern city of Kaohsiung.

"She put socks in my mouth to keep me quiet when beating me and only gave me food every three or four days ... She threatened to kill me and our son if I went to the police," a visibly shaken Hsu told CtiTV.
